Pear Mousse
This is a fruity, light, and creamy dessert that is perfect for a hot Florida afternoon!
  • Prep time: 6 minutes

  • 29 ounce(s) of halved pears
  • 24 marshmallows
  • 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup(s) of of water
  • 8 ounce(s) of (one brick) of Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp. of butter
Steps
  1. Remove the pears from the can reserving the syrup.
  2. Grease the dish with the butter.
  3. Cut the pears in 1" squares and place in the bottom of the dish.
  4. Put the reserved syrup in a sauce pan and add the marshmallows; melt them over low heat.
  5. In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the water.
  6. In a blender, add the Philadelphia cream cheese, the melted marshmallows in the syrup and dissolved gelatin.
  7. Blend until mixed well.
  8. Pour this mixture over the pears.
  9. Place in the refrigerator until it sets.
  10. You can garnish this dish with strawberries or any fruit of your liking and serve!
