Morrocan Spiced Cous-cous Cakes
I love cous-cous and I love curry and that is where my idea for this came from. They are quite tasty and also family friendly and easy to prepare. They are sure to be a family favorite!!!

  • 10 ounce(s) of Plain Instant Cous-cous(near east brand)
  • 8 ounce(s) of regular Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. of curry powder
  • 1/2 cup(s) of slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup(s) of finely shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup(s) of golden raisins
  • 1/3 cup(s) of milk
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil(plus some for frying cakes)
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt(plus more to taste in mixture
Steps
  1. Cook cous-cous according to box directions with salt and olive oil. Finely shred carrots and add to a mixing bowl with curry powder, almonds, and raisins. Add cooked cous-cous to bowl with milk, cream cheese and salt to taste. When everything is evenly mixed form mixture into patties. Heat enough olive oil in skillet to coat bottom. When pan and oil are hot add cakes and cook on both sides until golden brown. Enjoy!!!
